Ticket for having stop pass the white line
This story is from Andrée, and it is a bit special…. A police officer gives her a ticket for having stop pass the white line… she wants to dispute it

Hello, my name is Andrée, and I got a ticket this morning. Let me briefly explain you:
I’m at a stop and the police officer is at the other stop. I wave at him to let him pass, but he waves back to say that I could turn. As I turned, the officer pulled me over said that my tires off ahead of the white stopping line. Can you tell me if this is power abuse? Is this ticket justified?
The officer gave me a ticket of 154$ and 3 demerit points. I would like to dispute this ticket because I really think this ticket is inappropriate.
I would rather give the 154$ to a lawyer to settle this cause than to give them reason.
If you are interested by this problem please leave me a message I will be pleased to contact you. The infringement took place on the boul. Provencher in Montreal on May 29th, 2008.

and here is my opinion
Many details are missing in order to tell whether or not you could win your case…
If you did not do what the officer reproaches you… you might stand a chance, but
you must be convinced and convince the judge.
Was the police officer in front of you or at the stop sign beside you? On side, Because if he was on the side, he was pretty well placed to see if your tires were actually passing the white line…
Was the white line quite visible on the ground? Was there a panel signaling the line of?
If so, is it well positioned compared to the white line on the ground? Was the police officer alone or with a colleague?
Did you stop, then you somewhat advanced a little then stopped again to let the police car pass?
Give us some news….
